Biography
Avril was born in Canada but by age 16 she had already moved to Manhattan and begun work on her debut album.

A petite skater girl from a small town, she dropped out of high school after 11th grade when she secured a record deal and showed at an early age that she was independent, full of confidence and determination.

When Avril was almost 18, she released "Complicated" from her debut album entitled "Let Go" which went 6x platinum.

The song went to number #1 on Billboards Top 100 and also earned her 5 Grammy nominations, MTV music awards and MTV European music awards.
