| She and her group were discovered by Whitney Houston and one of her favorite songs is "Lovefool" by the Cardigans and her favorite item of clothing is a pair of metallic boots. Beyonce is a Grammy Award-winning American R&B singer, songwriter, record producer, Golden Globe Award-nominated actress, dancer, and fashion designer and also a model for the House of Deréon. Beyonce rose to fame as the creative force and lead singer of R&B girl group Destiny's Child and she wrote and produced many of the group's songs including the smash hits "Jumpin Jumpin", "Bootylicious", "Nasty Girl", "Independent Women", "Happy Face" and "Apple Pie a la mode". Her sophomore album, B’Day, which was released worldwide on September 4, 2006 (her twenty-fifth birthday) continued her success and the album spawned the UK number one single "Deja Vu", "Ring the Alarm" and the worldwide number one hit "Irreplaceable". The album has been nominated for five 2007 Grammy Awards. |
